We had
five days in Shropshire. Lynda and Stephen organised a surprise weekend for
Tony’s 80th. All he knew was that we were going to Telford for a
weekend (3 nights) with Lynda, her treat ánd we booked 2 nights in Ironbridge
on our own afterwards. We arrived at the Buckatree hotel on the Friday and
waited for Lyn and Joe to join us. On the
Saturday with Joe driving we went to near Shrewsbury to
Attingham Park and mansion, a National Trust house and deer park. The hardest
thing was keeping Tony out all day (we had numerous rests for cups of coffee),
while the rest of the family arrived at the hotel as they were all driving up that day.. When we arrived back at the Buckatree hotel all the family were hiding in the bar. Ther were 16 of us altogether including three great grandchildren. It was a lovely weekend.
